i'm faced with a little problem.

i store user printing configuration in cookies, and it work perfectly, except in one case. when the user experiences a power failure.

in this case, the cookie just disapear, and all printing configuration too..

i'm searching a way to identify uniquely a pc, to keep his configuration on the server and restore it on demand. ( users never read help or printing configuration help) 

the only usefull way will be to get pc MAC adress to identify the user pc. 

can you embed a code in future release of scriptx to allow retrieving of this MAC adress?

or to get information about some sort of unique id ?

We have added a property UniqueID to the factory object in ScriptX 7.1. Hope it helps.

i was tried uniqueID on win7 ie11, working perfect.

but, bad surprise, on xp, all update, and   IE Version 8.0.6001.18702  

can't get unique id.

i tested on your web page http://scriptxsamples.meadroid.com/Licensed/uniqueid/release/DOCTYPE 

to be sure it  isn't my website fault, and same result.. i get a message box "an error occured:le fichier est introuvable"

in english: "an error occured, file not found".. when i click on button "User unique" or on button "Machine Unique", same error result.

security manager and other downloaded correctlyn restarted, and admin windows account..

it seem that javascript code following is on error.

MeadCo.ScriptX.Utils.UniqueID(bmachine);        bmachine =false

it go on catch and generate error message..

can you see this.?
