We currently use ScriptX for client-side print control in a web application, and one of our clients is undergoing a security review on their side in order to add our site to their list of trusted sites.  They have asked us some questions about ScriptX that we cannot answer:

1. Does ScriptX “follow Microsoft’s safe code recommendations listed here under the Principles of Secure Design for ActiveX Controls: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250471(v=vs.85).aspx

2. Please provide a list of the exact list of URL actions needed by ScriptX requiring it to be Trusted by [client]. The list of URL actions can be obtained from this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms537186(v=vs.85).aspx

Any help with answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

We have had a long time to get this right and now - with the control installed on many millions of corporate client PCs - we're 100% confident that things are entirely compatible with Microsoft's security requirements straight 'out of the box'. 

So our answers are:

1/. Yes.

2/. Licensed ScriptX understands and works with the concept of IE Security Zones.  The URL actions that ScriptX needs to support - in either 'free' or 'licensed' use - will work as expected with IE's default security settings.

MeadCo cannot be held responsible for any breakage or interference to proper working caused by the application of  custom group policy settings.

Hey Jerry, thanks for taking the time to reply.  I've heard back from the client and they're quite insistent on having the actual list of URL actions from that MS link (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms537186(v=vs.85).aspx).  Is there any way you can elaborate on which actions it needs?
