Issues printing - IE11 on VMWare virtual PC

Hi

A site we use has your plugin. We are trying to get it working in a Virtual World.  It fails, and this is reported in the IE console

Invalid URL to the custom Print Template or no MeadCo TriPrint

Looking at the console the main object sems to have a property "Printing"  which doesn't seem happy, with lots of properties, like collate, copies having "Invalid or missing publishing license. Please report to Mead & Company at licensing@meadroid.com" as a value

Is this something I need to talk to the site owners about, or is it likely that there is some firewall/permissions/security setting that is blocking a vital part of your plugin?

Many thanks

ACM

A lot of this seems indicative of a failed binary installation, or an attempt to use a very old version of the product, or both.

Please contact your Corporate help desk to resolve this issue as described below OR - if you can - please do this yourself (EXACTLY, in full, no workarounds available):

Log on to your 'problem' VM(s) with full local computer administrator privileges:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

**VITAL**: this will NOT work if you don't do this, or have someone else do it for you.

Please do NOT proceed past this point without access to local admin privileges (i.e. someone must be logged on as a member of your PC's computer administrator user group. NOT 'domain' or 'virtual' or 'remote' or any other sort of admin, this must be *local*).

If you are not the administrator for your machine you will need to contact your systems administrator for their help.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

ONLY THEN:

Run this file:

  http://my.meadroid.com/scriptx/release/hotfix/scriptx.msi

This will install the current release of ScriptX.

Then clear your IE cache, navigate back to the ScriptX-enabled content you have been trying to work with and then try again.

PS: Sorry about the poor message formatting on this flakey board.

Sorry, that didn't work - (plus the URL for the latest version 404ed, so I went to http://scriptx.meadroid.com/download/user-upgrade-to-current-version.aspx)

Have I installed the correct, free, end user version - that line "Invalid or missing publishing license. Please report to Mead & Company at licensing@meadroid.com"  would indicate that I haven't - or does the free version still need to do a one off connection to get licensed?

Hi

Sorry, typo

  http://my.meadroid.com/scriptx/bits/release/scriptx.msi

Sniffer:

http://scriptxsamples.meadroid.com/Basic/InstalledVersion/release/DOCTYPE

Free usage doesn't need a license.

Try to use licensed functions without a license and it will error.

Cheers

Jerry
