ScriptX v7 (and later) now use Windows Installer technology (msi) for all installs.
The Resource Kits contain ScriptX.msi for pre-installation of ScriptX. This must be run as an administrator, any prior installation of ScriptX will be removed before v7 is installed.
smsx.cab is a wrapper on ScriptX.msi for delivering ScriptX to client PCs via Internet Explorer's Add-in Manager. As usual, this is a direct replacement for previous versions of smsx.cab. Copy the new version over previous versions on your server(s). As
is usual for smsx.cab, administrator priviledges are required to complete the installation. Any previous version will be removed before installing.
To remove ScriptX from a PC, use Add/Remove programs .. or Uninstall a program (Windows 7).
