Hi Josh
We're early in the beta with ScriptXtra, but providing we can make it do what we want AND make its operation covered by a permission on a license file, then the idea is this:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
MeadCo ScriptXtra is a browser add-on conforming to the
Netscape Plugin API and is compatible with any browser that implements the API, for example the Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers.
The plugin allows a seamless experience to be provided to users with Firefox, Chrome or similar browsers on
Microsoft Windows XP or later.
The plugin uses the Microsoft Web Browsing platform to display content requiring Internet Explorer within Firefox, Chrome etc., in a way that users will be unlikely to 'see the joins'. To them, the content 'just works' whilst they retain the ability to use
their favourite browser. In this way, fully controlled printing is bought to users with these browsers.
ScriptXtra is NOT a 'native' printing solution in these other browsers. The browser print options will not work, the entire UI must be provided within the document. This is a typical approach with ScriptX.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The beta code is currently pretty flakey and is CERTAIN to change, so I don't recommend a huge rush to this beta.
Give it a week or so.
