Hello,

We are using overlay windows (similar to Modal Pop up window available in AJAX Control toolkit) and we want to enable printing on such overlay windows. When we hit print on the overlay window, only the content of that window should get printed. I have tried following the samples but this does not seem to be working.

I have a feeling that because we're not talking about a 'true' window or frame that this may not be straightforward.

At this stage I would suggest that you 'mirror' your overlay's content in a hidden iframe (hide it the 'old fashioned' way: height+"0", width="0") and print that.

Lets say we loosen our requirements a little bit and I am ok if we print the grey background with the modal pop up window on top of it.

I have tried this and it works fine if the main page has only one page, but if the main page has a grid with lots of rows in it, it prints many grey pages and the last page will be the modal popup window. Do you know of a way not to print the grey pages and print only the last page which has the modal pop up window?

More general question would be how do I just print what I see on the screen? Our grids have vertical scrollbars and users ideally would like to only print what they see on the screen.
