Hi

We are running TS 2008 R2 with IE 11 installed. I have installed the free plugin in install mode on TS Server. Sample pritning works only if I login to Server from Console(not via terminal session). Users would login via terminal session cannot print. Clicking on the print buttion or any other does not do anything..

Anyone has similiar problem or any solution?

Regards

Hi

We don't test with Citrix or TS, but we have lots of customers who use them entirely successfully.

The trick appears to be that you *MUST*  log on to the server with full local admin privileges 'at the metal' and install the binaries (and your license if appropriate).

A hint we were given for Citrix goes like this:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

In the case of a Citrix sever:

"When you install serverside on Citrix, you need to put the server into install mode.  That is done with the command chgusr /install  Then, when you have completed your installation you issue the command chgusr /execute  This applies all the settings to all users. "

All out servers are TS on 2008 R2. We are upgrading to IE11. The advanced printing message comes and works for domain admins. It doesn't work for users. We geet message "Meadco scriptx is not properly installed".

Meadco security manager does show in toolbars and extensions in "Manage add-ons".

We are not in a position to rebuild 62 servers as it would mean be 2 days downtime per site.

Thanks for any help.

What's important is that the ScriptX binaries are installed 'per machine' by a logged-on admin, whether that's on the TS box or directly on a client PC.

This sounds to me as though that privilege is missing during part of the install.

The problem with our servers was a MS fix for IE8. Causes all sorts of problems when updating to IE11.

We are having issues printing in our corporate environment from Citrix. We are able to print from the reference machines but when we try to print from the VM's we receive an error. We did make sure to try installing ScriptX while using the change user /install and /execute commands.

error

At a loss currenty on what to do and was hoping you might be able to provide some insight on how to resolve.

Thanks

Try this:

Log on to your 'problem' Citrix server with full local computer administrator privileges:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

**VITAL**: this will NOT work if you don't do this, or have someone else do it for you.

Please do NOT proceed past this point without access to local admin privileges (i.e. someone must be logged on as a member of your PC's computer administrator user group. NOT 'domain' or 'virtual' or 'remote' or any other sort of admin, this must be *local*).

If you are not the administrator for your machine you will need to contact your systems administrator for their help.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

ONLY THEN:

Run this file:

  http://my.meadroid.com/scriptx/bits/release7/scriptx.msi

(Remember that if you download the .msi to a PC you should right-click on the .msi file, choose 'Properties' and then on the 'General' tab click the 'UNBLOCK' button [if it exists] and then click 'OK' to allow the binaries to install correctly.)

This will install the current release of ScriptX.

Then clear your IE cache, navigate back to the ScriptX-enabled content you have been trying to work with and then try again.

Then check here for valid install:

Better?

Best wishes

Confirmed it was the 7.7 release with the link you provided but unfortunately still getting the same error after uninstalling the 8.0 version installing 7.7 while under the local administrator account.

I did unblock the .msi and cleared IE cache.

Thanks
