A Quick Guide to ScriptX 7.4

Do I need to upgrade?

Yes if you are using Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 or later or ScriptX 7.3 on any platform.

Obviously, you should also update if this release provides new features you need or resolves issues you have encountered (see the history).

Are there any breaking changes?

No there are not. This version of ScriptX will be fully compatible with all your current scripting. If you encounter any compatibility issues, please contact us. Note that if you are upgrading Internet Explorer then some issues can occur because of changes in Internet Explorer, the document/standards mode or the javascript engine rather than ScriptX.

What's new?

This section describes the new features in ScriptX 7.3.x. ScriptX 7.3.x should not be deployed. Deploy ScriptX 7.4 instead.

Support for Internet Explorer 11

For the first time for a while, changes in the implementation of Internet Explorer have necessitated changes in ScriptX that mean you must upgrade to v7.3 or later of ScriptX in order to work with IE 11.

ScriptX works with Windows 8.1 IE11 EPM x86 and x64.

Improved performance

Performance is significantly improved when printing documents that require scaling to fit with IE8 and later.

License Manager

License Manager has a new interface with improved clarity and ease of use.

Enhanced PDF Printing

A list of pages to print can now be specified with both the PrintPDF and BatchPrintPDF methods.
