License Expiry

The default period of validity for all classes of license is one year. Small cumulative discounts are available for multi-year licenses.

When a license expires, all licensed functionality will immediately become unavailable. The free subset of functionality will continue to function as normal.

MeadCo sends notification emails detailing the expiry of the license 60 days and 30 days before expiry. The email is sent to our last known contact.

Updating or renewing a license simply requires the deployment of a new version of the .mlf license file (sxlic.mlf) to the web servers. This will distribute the updated license to the users. These updates are typically 'silent', unlike the initial acceptance and installation of the license so there is no disruption to the user.
