ScriptX v7 highlights

(created on: 13.02.12)

We're announcing ScriptX v7 today. This is an optional release with fixes for a number of issues and some new features too.

The significant change is we have moved to Windows Installer technology everywhere for the installation of ScriptX - the v7 smsx.cab is now a wrapper on ScriptX.msi.

Enhanced formatting for users with IE 8 and later - previously known as MaxiPT (still available) - brings multiline headers and footers to standards based documents and the ability to print arbitrary ranges of pages.

The background print APIs (printHTML and BatchPrintPDF) now have variants providing progress callbacks.

For our Licensees, the Licensee Resource Kit is expanded and improved, with binaries and more useful deployment notes.

The full release history is on the Release History page, there's also a quick summary here.
