Announcing ScriptX 7.1

(created on: 17.01.13)

We are pleased to announce the release of ScriptX 7.1, the latest version of the global standard for controlling the printing of browser-hosted content on Microsoft Windows. ScriptX 7.1 has been enhanced based on customer feedback to include an improved user experience, easier management and the dynamic connection of shared printers.

“Over the past 15 years ScriptX has helped put companies and developers across the globe in control when printing business critical browser-hosted content,” said Jerry Mead, CEO, Mead & Co. “We pride ourselves on listening to our thousands of licensees, and the latest release of ScriptX aims to make their jobs easier and tighten their control of html printing moving forward.”

ScriptX 7.1 includes a number of powerful new features based on customer requests and feedback. The user experience has been improved through clearer security manager dialogues which aid installation, software updating and solving common issues. Once deployed overall management of ScriptX is now simpler and faster through new ‘no error’ forms of common APIs. Additionally, the software can now dynamically access shared printers not listed in the Printers collection in control panel, as part of the advanced printing license.

Full details are available on the Knowledge Bank, along with a quick introduction to the new features.

Those making use of the free sub-set of functionality may download the updated ScriptX Resource kit. Licensees should use the My MeadCo Portal to obtain the the updated Licensee Resource Kit.
